Send me your links.

When I said I was looking for room painting ideas, I wasn't kidding! I have to choose colors by next Friday and I've never thought about room-painting before!

I do not like bright. I need something classy and delicate.

Update: right now I'm sort of leaning towards buttery yellows, nothing too gold or marigold. Just something glowy, soft, and warm. I think you have to have a lot of light coming in if you're going to do a blue or a green--I'd consider a soft purply blue or a muted pale sage but I'm concerned such cool colors will look bilious and sickly. I think I'd like to stick to warm colors, but as much as I like deep red and pumpkin orange rooms, I know those will make the space look smaller.

Hmm.

I would totally do a nice, wine-ish red. Why would that make it smaller?

I had yellow in my first apartment. Remember that? Not a fan. Though I imagine yours would be less urinesque.

I hope you find this helpful: http://benjaminmoore.com/bmpsweb/portals/bmps.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=fh_home

In the very least, if you visit http://benjaminmoore.com, you will find a personal color viewer that can help you find a color before having to slather it all over your walls.

i like the idea of the buttery yellows as well, it's just right for a small space and it's still cheery and will reflect the light well.

i love the idea of getting to paint but seriously, i never want to do it myself!
love!

Hey there, Our light muted yellow creamy color on our walls in the main living area is called Belvedere Cream and it's by Behr at Home Depot. I love it, we've painted it in our past two houses and will use it again in our next home. It really opens the place up so, so much. Hope this helps.

Those are great tips--thanks! Right now after talking to my mom (but not yet to Chris, so this could get vetoed) I'm thinking of a buttery, lemony cream for the bedroom, and a butternutty (not too marigold though!!) squash for the living room. We're going to Home Depot tonight to pick up chips...
